i guess that i should answer the questions that miss. Kitty asked. i first started playing when i was in about 4th or 5th grade only b/c my mom made me. but one i got to high school i guess i got a little bit more instrasting but i think a big part of why i play is because a good friend that goes there has a great love for music and i think it kind of rubbed off on me just a tiny bit. artists/bands that inspire me. well 1sr of all i guess John williams who i beleave created such peces like Jurassic Park, ET, Harry Potter, and some others. i dont really know who else inspires me with my playing (unless the 3rd clarinets in my band count) maybe some soundtracks and music siilar to that. and i also enjoy listing to bands like KoRn, Marilyn Manson, Rainbow, Van Hallen, and some somgs from black sabith. (just thought some people would like to no.)

[music |#7 on TALITM by Korn]

Hola, I'm Liz. I'm from that crappy place Cleveland, OH. I play the bass guitar, the trumpet, and keys/classic piano. I'm in a band called Fire Your Landlord. We're kinda metal-ish alternative with some techno and rap. That's because we love Korn((Corinne's got the Postal Service & other techno. Jo's got Iron Maiden & random rap. I've got all the musical talent(j/k). I like H.I.M. and The Dillinger Escape Plan & random depressing shit.)) And we have a kick ass triangle player who's really our lead guitarist but that's okay. We're still looking for a male singer and a male guitarist, but we've got some people in mind. Our debut album ((which we're still in the finding the band process)) is going to be called Dirty Eggrolls, don't ask... We've got interesting songs though... Such as "Demon Strippers" and "The Joy of Killing You". If you haven't figured out, I'm the bassist. I highly doubt we'll ever even been a funny little footnote but you never know. Our drummer and I are actually applied to our instruments... Unlike someone... *coughtrianlgeplayercough*

[music |Carmina Burana]

Hey! I'm Jenna, 19, from Ohio, where I'm a music major @ Kent State U. I've played violin for 10 years and I'm into lots of different music. I play mostly classical but want to get into jazz, learn to play guitar and trombone, and maybe play in fun experimental band, or maybe get a ska or punk band going. (I'm talking real punk, politically charged with something real to say, not just power chords and "we started making out and she took off my pants!") I also LOVE to sing, even if i sound like a wretch (which, I can say, is only about half the time).

My current musical taste has been influenced by everything from German Lied to Cradle of Filth to the crazy awesomeness of John Coltrane. My current favorites include The Smashing Pumpkins, Brand New, Tool, Beethoven, the sitar, Cradle of Filth, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Schubert, Sublime, Ani DiFranco, Chris Pureka, Miles Davis, Otep, Ginastera, the Miami String Quartet, Josh Bell, Hilary Hahn, cello concerti, piano, Hemmingway's Shotgun, A Perfect Circle, Anger in the Grass, Garbage, Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Amadé Mozart, Tori Amos, Ben Folds Five, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, music by dead composers with long and complicated foreign names, Muse, Weezer, Gustav Holst, NIN, Dream Theater, piano/cello/violin/viola rock, improvisation, Chas Baker's jazz bands, CJO, Mr. Bungle, The Cleveland Orchestra, any and all of those Bachs, Rasputina, The Mediæval Bæbes, Hendrix, G3, Bobby Selvaggio, Mahler, Hindemith, Sainte-Saens, Liszt, Duke Ellington, NIN, the musical stylings of Schmess and Schmenna... (my friend and me) and that's only the beginning. I guess my taste in music is pretty eclectic-I tend to like just about anything that's aurally unique.

Anyway, since music is pretty much my life anyway, I love talking about it, asking questions, giving answers, creating new stuff, and most importantly, meeting people who like to talk about music, too!

Wow, thank you girls for joining!! It makes me happy to see that a few people have joined!

Anyway, just a question for yous to answer....

What first turned you on into music? What band/artist is your main influence in what you write?

I really wanna see this...just to know what y'all think.
